Self-Objectification, Internalized Transphobia and Psychological Distress in Male-to-Female Transgenders

The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between self-objectification, internalized transphobia, and psychological distress in male-to-female (MtF) transgenders. It hypothesized that: 1) there would be a positive transgenders; 2) Self-objectification transphobia predict MtF A correlational research design used. sample comprising of 136 transgenders with an age range 19-55 years (M = 34.46, SD 9.09) were approached by employing purposive sampling technique. Data collected from Fountain House Khawaja Sira Society Lahore. self-constructed demographic information sheet, Urdu versions Questionnaire, Transgender Identity Scale, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) used for assessment. results exhibited Furthermore, also displayed that self-objectification pride shame related positively predicted This will contribute towards development program ensure lesser improved quality life transgender communities.
